Previous 6-Month Limited Manufacturer's Warranty

For TORRO products purchased before 2nd November 2026

This page provides information about TORRO's previous 6-Month Limited Manufacturer's Warranty, which applied to eligible products purchased before the introduction of our new 2-Year Limited Manufacturer's Warranty.

From 2nd November 2026, TORRO introduced a two-year limited warranty for eligible products purchased through torro.co.uk.

Products purchased before this date remain subject to the manufacturer's warranty applicable at the time of purchase.

The information below explains the coverage, exclusions and claims process associated with our previous six-month manufacturer's warranty.

This warranty is provided in addition to your statutory consumer rights, which remain unaffected.

What Does the 6-Month Warranty Cover?

TORRO's previous manufacturer's warranty provided six months of protection against qualifying manufacturing faults in products supplied by TORRO.

The warranty was intended to cover manufacturing-related defects that became apparent during normal, intended use within the warranty period.

Examples of issues that may qualify include:

  • Manufacturing defects affecting product materials.

  • Defective stitching or construction.

  • Faults affecting the structural integrity of a product.

  • Manufacturing-related failures of integrated components.

Whether a particular issue is covered depends on the circumstances and the nature of the defect.

Damage resulting from ordinary wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse or improper care is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

Warranty Period and Eligibility

The previous limited manufacturer's warranty applied for six months in accordance with the terms offered at the time of purchase.

This historical warranty applies to eligible TORRO products purchased before 2nd November 2026.

Products purchased on or after that date are subject to our current 2-Year Limited Manufacturer's Warranty.

The introduction of the new warranty does not automatically extend the original six-month commercial warranty for earlier purchases.

However, customers may continue to have statutory rights relating to faulty goods after the expiry of the manufacturer's warranty.

What Is Not Covered by the 6-Month Warranty?

TORRO products are designed for everyday use. As with other regularly handled products, signs of normal use and ageing are expected.

The previous six-month manufacturer's warranty did not cover damage resulting from normal wear and tear or damage caused by the user.

Exclusions included, but were not limited to:

General Wear and Tear

Scratches, scuffs, abrasions, worn edges and other deterioration resulting from regular handling and use.

Puncture Damage

Damage caused by punctures, sharp objects or external impacts.

Chemical Damage

Damage resulting from the use of chemicals, unsuitable cleaning products or other substances on leather or product materials.

Overloading

Damage caused by overloading card slots, pockets or other storage compartments beyond their intended capacity.

Leather Discolouration

Changes in leather colour or appearance resulting from regular use, exposure or the natural ageing of the material.

Staining

Stains caused by liquids, oils, dyes or other external substances.

Leather Tears

Tears or other damage to leather resulting from use, external forces or handling rather than a qualifying manufacturing defect.

Cracking or Splitting from Repeated Folding

Leather cracking or splitting caused by repeated folding or flexing of a case through use, rather than a qualifying manufacturing defect.

Other User-Caused Damage

Any other deterioration or damage resulting from accidental events, misuse, improper care or use beyond the product's intended purpose.

These exclusions describe the scope of the previous voluntary manufacturer's warranty. They do not exclude liability for genuine defects where applicable consumer law provides a remedy.

Natural Leather Ageing

Many TORRO products are handcrafted from genuine leather.

Leather is a natural material that can change in appearance through regular use. Over time, it may soften, develop creases, change colour or acquire a natural patina.

These changes are generally characteristic of leather and are not automatically considered manufacturing defects.

The previous six-month warranty excluded normal leather ageing and deterioration arising from routine use.

However, where a customer believes that a leather failure resulted from a defect present when the product was supplied, the issue may still be assessed under applicable statutory consumer rights.

How to Make a Warranty Claim

If you purchased a TORRO product before 2nd November 2026 and believe it developed a manufacturing fault during the original six-month warranty period, please contact our Customer Care team.

To help us assess the claim, please provide:

  • Your original order number or proof of purchase.

  • A description of the issue.

  • Clear photographs of the suspected fault, where possible.

Our team will review the information provided and advise whether further assessment or inspection is required.

If a product needs to be returned, we will provide the relevant instructions.

Where a qualifying warranty claim is approved, an appropriate repair, replacement or other resolution will be arranged in accordance with the applicable original warranty terms and statutory consumer rights.

Returning a Product for Assessment

Where a return is necessary, please contact our Customer Care team before sending your product back so that we can provide the appropriate return instructions.

Products should be securely packaged to prevent additional damage during transit.

Original product packaging is not required when exercising statutory rights relating to faulty goods.

Where a qualifying fault is confirmed, reasonable necessary return costs will be handled in accordance with the relevant warranty terms and applicable consumer law.

Please retain proof of postage when returning a product.

Personalised Products

Personalised, monogrammed and customised TORRO products purchased under the previous warranty were also covered against qualifying manufacturing faults during the original six-month warranty period.

Although personalised products are generally excluded from change-of-mind returns, this does not remove protection for genuine manufacturing defects.

If you believe a personalised product is faulty, please contact our Customer Care team with your order details and photographs of the issue.

Does the Warranty Cover My Electronic Device?

TORRO cases and accessories are designed to help protect compatible devices during everyday use.

However, no case or accessory can guarantee complete protection against accidental damage.

The previous six-month manufacturer's warranty applied to qualifying faults in the TORRO product itself. It did not provide insurance for electronic devices or other personal belongings.

Accidental damage to a device or personal property was not automatically covered merely because it occurred while using a TORRO product.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer law.

Your Statutory Consumer Rights

The previous six-month manufacturer's warranty was provided in addition to customers' statutory consumer rights.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods supplied to UK consumers must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.

Depending on the circumstances, customers may be entitled to a refund, repair, replacement or other statutory remedy where goods do not meet these requirements.

The expiry of a manufacturer's warranty does not automatically end a customer's legal rights.

For faults identified after the first six months, customers may be required to demonstrate that the goods failed to meet the legal requirements when supplied, taking account of the nature of the product, its expected durability and the circumstances of the defect.

Customers outside the United Kingdom may also have mandatory consumer protection rights under the laws applicable to their purchases.

Nothing in this historical warranty policy replaces, restricts or removes statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
